Just Relax. It sounds easy, just relax...but for most of us relaxation sounds like a luxury that we cannot afford. For most of us at the minute our social lives have dwindled to zoom catch ups and zoom yoga classes but yet life still feels really really busy! So just relaxing sounds like something we just don’t have time for! We have never-ending to do lists and that book we keep meaning to read, we should really get out and get some fresh air and those clothes need to be hung out so how can we make time to relax as well??
Giving yourself time to relax and quieten your mind of the busy, never-ending train of thoughts will actually help you to feel like you have more time in the day. You will learn skills and techniques to help you calm your mind so that when your life becomes really really busy you will feel more able to cope with the busyness.
We will use simple mindfulness techniques during our six weeks together to learn how to sit quietly with ourselves and our bodies. mindfulness has been proven to improve your sleep and to ease physical tension that you may be holding in your body. It has also been said that when one person in the family practices mindfulness, it can benefit the whole household.
This class will be taught through Zoom which, allows us to learn how to relax in the comfort of our own home.
All you will need to participate is a computer or smart device, a quiet space and a comfortable seat. You are welcome to have a blanket or cushions or anything else that will make you feel more comfortable.
This class is suitable for people with a longstanding mindfulness practice that would like some more guidance or would like to experience the feeling of meditating with other and also for total beginners to meditation and mindfulness. each class will include different practices and each will be guided.
Who: anyone over 15 years who wishes to learn some more about the benefits of mindfulness and experience a calm and gentle atmosphere.

Six Week Relax Kids Family Class
With 2021 feeling just as stressful and uncertain as 2020 I invite you to join me for my final Relax Kids family class of the school year. During each class you and your family will learn life-long techniques which can be used during any stressful situation.
Each class will follow the seven steps of a Relax Kids class and the most important part of each class will be that everyone has fun while learning useful new tools. We take the children from high energy fun and jumping activities down to a quiet and calm energy. Each class includes stretches, gentle massage, games and deep breathing and we always finish lying quietly listening to calming music and a mindfulness track.
Mindfulness is the experience of spending time with yourself and this results in better sleep and a calmer atmosphere. When families practice mindfulness techniques together it forms a stronger, better family unit and in the future when stress levels start rising everybody has a few techniques to pull out of the bag.
Who: children and at least one parent (the ideal age for children for this particular class is 4 - 10 years of age but all siblings, younger and older are welcome to join in)
When: Wednesday afternoons from 4.30 – 5.30pm, starting 14th April
