Relax Kids at Bedtime this November
I have enough friends with children to know how difficult it can be to get your little ones to bed at a reasonable time and to get them to stay in the bed so I am hoping some beautiful Relax Kids meditations, music and fun before bedtime will get everyone ready and settled to just fall into their beds after the class.
Join me on Thursday evenings at 6.30pm for one hour with your whole family to learn about different techniques and skills to help you and those around you manage stress and anxiety and worry.
Each Relax Kids class follows seven steps. We start moving and playing to remind the adults to have fun and to help the children release any extra energy they have, then we start to slow things down with some stretches to release the tension we hold in our bodies. We talk and think about things that make us happy and we use our hands on ourselves and on each other in a gentle relaxing massage (with permission of course!) and we use the breath throughout the class to help slow down our busy minds and to help us notice how we are feeling. Each class ends with everyone lying down listening to relaxing, beautiful music and noticing how their body is feeling.
Learning mindfulness techniques and strategies with your children as you all wind down for the end of the day is a beautiful bonding opportunity. It helps to form a stronger, better family unit and in the future when stress levels start to rise everyone has a few techniques to pull out of the bag.
Who: children aged from 4 - 11 years and at least one parent (younger and older children are of course welcome to join as well)
When: 4 Thursdays in November, starting 4th November at 6.30 – 7.30
